Urban fares for metropolitan taxis

Fare 1 (T-1): weekday rate on working days
The T-1 fare is applicable on weekdays from 8 am to 8 pm in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
The price of the journey is calculated by adding the price of the minimum fare to the price per kilometre of the journey or the waiting time.

Fare 2 (T-2): rate on weekday evenings, Saturdays and public holidays
The T-2 fare is applicable on weekdays from 8 pm to 8 am, Saturdays and public holidays within the taxi service area in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.

Fixed-price fare (T-3)
The T-3 is a fixed-price fare that can only be contracted through the applications (apps) of taxi service mediation companies that meet the requirements established in Decree 314/2016 of 8 November, and that have been validated by the technical services of the IMET.
- The fare includes travel to the waiting area and 5 minutes waiting time.
- If the service is being carried out at this fare, the taximeter must read 0.
- The minimum amount of the service is 8 euros.
- The T-3 fare applies to taxi services in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
The fixed price is calculated by adding the minimum fare, plus the price per kilometre (depending on the length of the journey), plus the price per minute (in real traffic conditions) and any applicable surcharges.

Fare 4 (T-4): fixed price from the airport to Moll Adossat
The T-4 fare applies to journeys from the Moll Adossat cruise ship dock to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport and to journeys from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport to the Moll Adossat cruise ship dock.
The price for the journey is €45 and all surcharges are included.
Scope of application of the urban fares
Urban taxi fares are applicable when journeys are made between municipalities in the metropolitan area of Barcelona or municipalities that have signed joint service agreements with the AMB for the management of the taxi service.
Other items
The mediation companies must inform the user of the conditions of the service (minimum amount of the service and maximum amount for arrival to the passenger pick-up point) before being hired. These conditions must have been communicated to IMET.

Intercity fares 2025
When the origin or destination of the journey is outside the metropolitan area, the applicable fares are established by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
