Taxi drivers and users of the service have more than 300 taxi ranks throughout the metropolitan area of Barcelona, 70% of which are concentrated in the city of Barcelona.

Important taxi ranks and those with specific functions

  • Barcelona Airport: distributed across the three terminals, with a specific arrangement that allows the user to take a taxi quickly and the taxi driver to wait comfortably and without disturbing the flow of the service.
  • Port of Barcelona: there are ranks at the four stations of the Moll Adossat cruise ship dock (terminal A): 20 taxis; terminal B, 36; terminal C, 48, terminal D, 58).
  • Sants Station: two official ranks serving users leaving from Plaça de Joan Peiró and/or the main entrance located on Plaça dels Països Catalans.
  • There is also a specific one-rank service at Estació del Nord and Estació de França.
The network of taxi ranks in the metropolitan area of Barcelona helps to encourage the rational use of taxi mobility and, consequently, is a factor that helps to reduce polluting emissions and atmospheric pollution.
