Functions

The function of the Metropolitan Taxi Institute (IMET) focuses on the administration and management of the taxi and VTC service in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, in accordance with article 14.B.c of Law 31/2010, of August 3, of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area.

Competencies

  • Establish the rules for providing urban taxi and VTC services
  • Determine the disciplinary regime that applies to urban taxi and VTC services
  • Carry out the administrative and technical management of the urban taxi and VTC service
