Rights and duties

Both service users and taxi drivers must know that they have a series of rights and duties in their relationship with the Metropolitan Taxi Institute (IMET).

User rights towards IMET

Taxi drivers have the right to:

  • Be served by the responsible administrative department with whom they want or need to contact.

  • Know the regulations that regulate the provision of the taxi service, as well as the rights and duties.

  • Request and receive truthful and accurate information about the procedures they want or need to carry out, either in person or through any of the communication channels that this organisation has established.

  • Make suggestions for improving services and present complaints or denunciations related to the attention received.


Taxi users have the right to:

  • Submit claims and complaints regarding incorrect service provision.

 

User duties towards IMET


Taxi drivers have the duty to:

  • Respect the regulations that regulate the taxi service and that are reflected in the Taxi Law and in the Metropolitan Taxi Regulations.
  • Update the professional documentation that certifies the taxi activity.
  • Communicate any incident that may affect the operation of the taxi license.
  • Treat in a correct way the personnel who inform and offer the services of this body.


Taxi users have the duty to:

  • Provide truthful data and information about the taxi driver or about the taxi service performed in the event of a complaint or denunciation.
  • Correctly treat the staff who inform the aspects and managements derived from a taxi service.
